Appearance - A very inviting peridot; no visible sediment

Louche - builds nicely, albeit a bit slowly. Opaque and slightly opalescent. Hues of blues, yellows and greens. Fully louched around 2.5:1

Aroma: neat, you get a very herbaceous punch with a ton of green anise with minty wormwood undertones

Flavor: a nice balance of herbs with the anise and fennel dominant but with support from the slightly astringent wormwood. Some baby powder and juicy fruit gum with a bit of white pepper spice from coriander. Mouthfeel is slightly thin, but still very enjoyable.

Finish: I’d like it to last a bit longer, but it’s not like it recedes quickly. I just enjoy it enough to want it to stick around on the palate longer.

Overall: if you can get this, whether that be online or in-person, I suggest picking up two bottles. You’ll blow through one bottle pretty quickly. It’s a fine absinthe, both for beginners and seasoned absintheurs alike. Recommended for both traditional preparation and cocktails.
