What ya drinking tonight?

Recommended Posts

Found another local wine I'm finding easy to enjoy. Yay!

Nice to have another choice since my usual one continues to be out of stock.

Maybe I should see this as a reason to get more familiar with the local vineyard offerings. :g:

Prairie Apple Brandy Noir Imperial Stout.

A version of Bomb! aged in apple brandy barrels.

This aging totally smooths out the rough roast coffee edges of the original, and adds a wonderful layer of complexity.

Even better brandy barrel character the North Coast Old Stock Cellar Reserve 2011.

It's really tough for my to choose between this stunner and Fremont's amazing Rusty Nail, so all I can say is that I'm incredibly fortunate to have had the chance to enjoy both of these, especially in so short a time.

I'd almost forgotten that one.

Joyride is probably my favorite gambit involving J. J. Abrams, onacuz I generally despise any outing that he has a hand in.

I usually refer to him as Jar Jar Abrams, since I've always disliked Star Wars, and he's my least favorite "character" in the series.

"There are no two words more harmful in the English language than "good job"".

Name the movie, character and actor who said that.

The movie is Whiplash.

The actor is J.K. Simmons.

The character is Terence Fletcher.

I was wrong on both counts.

I will check that movie out.

I knew that. Just didn't see till this morning. A totally worthwhile movie.

Indeed.

And J.K. Simmons absolutely deserved that Oscar™.

Skullsplitter Scottish ale from Orkney, one of my absolute favorites, followed by a healthy dram of Lagavulin 16, and the fourth season of Vikings on Hulu. Too damn hot to do much else.
