Wormwood Society Editor Comments
From the site: This is a traditional absinthe recipe made with aniseed, wormwood and fennel.

This is the first absinthe to contain Scottish Wormwood. It was even grown by us! It also contains other botanicals, including anise, fennel and the famous Loch Ness juniper.

A wee stoater from Scotland, I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Appearance: clear and bright and inviting

Louche: great build. Fully louched at 2:1 with my mini fountain and ice cold water. Very attractive. Opalescent.

Aroma: clean fresh minty room-filling wormwood and anise. Just wonderful.

Flavor; simple, dry and minty with a great balance of the holy trinity. The juniper adds a really interesting crispness and almost a palate cleansing sip.

Finish; clean finish with genepy and anise. I don’t actually think there’s any generic in here, but the combination of anise. WW and juniper lend a similar experience. Not overwhelming, but lingers enjoyably.

Overall, as a Blanche, this is about as good as you can find. Simply great. Grab it if you can find it!
