What ya drinking tonight?

Recommended Posts

Any time I start noticing sea monkeys in the bottle, I will shake it before serving so that the bottle doesn't end up with a glob of stuff in the bottom. Everyone gets some that way.

Gin gin mules. Precious has been asking for that drink.

I didn't have a lime so I just used limecello instead of lime and simple syrup. Delightful. Cheers!

I used some sweet lemonade once. It worked.

Cider for me tonight. It could use a little more carbonation. Just a few more bubbles.

Started off the evening with Gundlach Bundschu Pinot Noir 2004. Then had an Ophelia cocktail (Negroni for the Mrs.). Now I'm having a Boulevard Nutcracker ale to wind things down. Happy  day to all, and to all a good night!

Tonight I am drinking Death in the Afternoons, chilling with the pup on the sheepskin rug, and toasting to having no expectations and not being disappointed tonight.

A glass of Marteau louched with my see saw dripper. Yummy.

I needed a full glass after a long day, but I sure loved the chance to get entranced by the dripper.

FAST learning that Booker's is not like other bourbons.

As a base for a Manhattan, it starts delish- til you realize/are reminded that it is, in fact, 63%ABV... not 40-46%.

Jeebus, I need more vermouth!

it was dark green and murky and tasted UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS!

I remember that batch! :wave2:

Me, too.

Does that mean all my bottles of Ridge in future years won't have the same happy endings?

Message parlor, massage parlor, absinthe... my mind is wandering to the beginning of June and wondering if that spa in the Kandahar Lodge can get their hands on some absinthe-scented massage oils. I want to be soaked in absinthe that weekend, inside and out.

I'm DRINKING (1) Duplais Verte and (2) Pacifique

I'm thinking about number (3)

The Ridge Verte or the Meadow of Love would make a nice add-on if you have it, crow. La Grenouille or the Berthe de Joux would be nice addition too.

On second thought, you might have to make that four, instead of three. I find it's always best to pour two glasses and sample the absinthes side by side... solely for the sake of comparative purposes, of course.
