What ya drinking tonight?

Recommended Posts

I am drinking Pepsi right now since I'm at work but last night I had some Duplais Balance that I just received from absinthe-shop. I had a 500mL bottle about a year ago and I completely forgot how amazing it is! Definitely in my top five. Before that I had some Aderlass, another great absinthe from Matter. For those of you that have not tried it yet I recommend picking up a bottle before it disappears. Definitely worth it. I can't help but compare it to Mansinthe and right now I'm thinking that its a bit better.

My first glass of La Coquette. BAM! Pretty darned delicious, and certainly not timid. This one can handle higher water ratios quite well. 4:1. even 5:1 still has power and presence. Great finish too! I'll have to sit with this one for awhile before I can really quantify its yumminess.

Sometimes it is the simple things in life

I thought that exact same thing last night when spaghetti was served.

Fat tire. From the bottle. Sometimes it is the simple things in life.

Don't care what anyone says. Fat Tire's a fine, fine beer.

It's actually nicer out of a can, IMHO. Filling cans instead of bottles always picks up less oxygen.

It's even better on tap. I'll have to look for it in the can. Cans are better for pack-in pack-out.

Choice is a beautiful thing.

Indeed! But the Abbey is better :harhar:

Had a glass of Roquette tonight. Had my first sample a long time ago, when I first started drinking absinthe, a nice gift from a WS member. I was surprised tonight that it seemed very much like I remember it. I was thinking that with a lot more experience I'd have a different impression, but not the case.

Sounds like you folks are living large! :wave2:

I have moose drool in the garage. It/I ought to be ready to drink about Autumn. I'll be ready for it.

Cheers!
