What ya drinking tonight?

Recommended Posts

OK, so it wasn't tonight, but I finally got around to checking out some of the pics from the baby shower.

The set up at the beach:

Two more absinthe converts! My buddies Colin (left) and Doug (right). They loved the stuff!

Doug, Myself, Colin, Doyle, and Dad enjoying an Ancient Warrior cigar after the shower. Damn, it was HOT that night.

Throughout the weekend fiesta, we served many different drinks. I tried to bring down a bunch of stuff with which we could make relatively obscure cocktails. At least for the people that were coming. None of them had tried any of the following cocktails, but they all got rave reviews.

St. Germain Cocktail

Constellation Cocktail (thanks Hiram)

Pimm's Cup with cukes

Rangpur and tonic

I purchased a bottle of Razzouk earlier, and just had my first sip; it's not the same as absinthe, but it's DEFINITELY a keeper! Thanks to Shabba on helping me make up my mind last minute. I have a feeling I'm going to go through a bit of it tonight!

I've been pacing myself. A couple short drinks of absinthe, a couple american amber ales, a small glass of St. Germain and finally some Ridge Verte.

I'm practicing for my vacation. B)

 Ya'll

Rangpur over ice. It looked funny there until I rattled the glass and it came together.

I really shouldn't be posting in this state but I live here.

At long last, Maggie and I broke into a selection of meads sent by a wonderfully lady far, far away. We've been waiting for a special occasion and decided this whole summer has been pretty darn special.

Forest Berry.

Olmo.

Chestnut and Honey.

Lime Blossom and Honey.

Traditional still meads that reflect the care their creator gave them with a far more complex and delicate flavor than the fast, bubbly pyments I make. Absolutely delicious!

We'll try the Honey Plus and Herbs of Lelystad later.

Thank you very much, GrayWolf.
