What ya drinking tonight?

Recommended Posts

I'll toast that with an Absomphesized™ shot of coconut milk...and a glass of Old Stock 2013. :cheerz:

Gentlemen's Club rye whiskey aged ale brewed with lemons, oranges and cherries.

It's a Cigar City collaboration with Widmer... I'll never learn, apparently.

Needless to say, I wish it had been a singular Cigar City effort.

You know what, never mind.

This stuff is actually quite tasty with a nice balance of the ingredients, and a decisive rye background.

It was brewed at Widmer, so logic dictates that the recipe was conceived at Cigar City, which is probably what saves it.

La Clandestine, no sugar. First blanche I've tried...lovely! Very fresh-tasting and perfect for a warm summer evening. Was really happy to see they had the 350 mL bottles at my local BevMo, though the sales guy was insufferable when I was buying it ("oh, you want the stuff with the wormwood, right? That'll make you hallucinate!"). *facepalm*

World Wide Stout.

Considerably drier (and less heavy) than I remembered it, with baker's and dark chocolate, toffee, plum, raisin, a hint of cherry, sherry, and peaty scotch.

The alcohol is very restrained for 18%, and I'm definitely enjoying this a lot more than I did years ago.
