It's a little early in the day, but I finally bit the bullet and gave FSC a try. Now, I am back in the green and having a lovely Duplais. I'm so excited!

Maybe gonna try the Eichelberger next, but I won't use air mail this time.

Take that Bureaucracy!

(I took French in school, but, I keep saying to myself, "Mmmmm... Do Plays!")

España Wilkommen!

Starting with Serpis 65 tonight, and probably settle in with popcorn and a Bela Lugosi movie. Probably switch to a green anis pastis later on, right about the time that the "only a pin point" takes hold.

Thanks, PB.

My girlfriend caught it first and I had to take care of her all weekend. Now it's my turn.

I broke the topnut on my main electric guitar. Instead of fixing it now I took it as an opportunity to rebuild my old Kramer guitar and fix its wiring. I'd forgotten how damn heavy its sound is.

Just got back from seeing the Pogues play. Drank several Newcastle tonight - not a lot of selection at The Grove, had a few shots of whiskey backstage with the boys - All Access Passes . Now at home having a final glass of Duplais, which is how I started the night. What a freaking wonderful night it was! Enough to make this girl's Irish heart bleed. :drunk: :drunk:

Sounds like a pretty spectacular night.

Unfortunately, now all I can imagine is Shinsain rehearsing, "Oh, Danny Boy".

Dunno what to think about last night's Serpis. Very peculair taste, unlike anything I've ever had, which is neither good nor bad. I suspect that I'll use it in the deep of winter when I want a tall "tropical" drink of some sort. Might be good in a singapore sling or something else that would fit in with a Jimmy Buffett plastic flamingo and artificial palm trees winter bash. And yeah, I'll try it with a slurpee later on. Wonder how it goes with tequila? At any rate, methinks Serpis is definitely a beverage to mix with something else. Just too fruity/candy for my (in)sensibilities.

Also, noticed that both Serpis and Mari Mayans have almost as much star anise as CLB: they leave a white film in the glass. Spanish starsinthe, and Swiss starsinthe. The French herbal blends with green anise are just so much better.

La Ptite doesn't have any star anise (well that's noticeable to my limited palate). And it's Swiss.

I had a Sierra Nevada & watched a crane & diver pull a car out of the Marina. A woman blacked out in the parking lot & hit the gas sending the car over a berm, through the fence & over the sea wall. The car hit the water & floated out about 150 ft before it sank. The woman swam out of the car as it was sinking. I'm glad the car didn't land on a boat.

I've been wondering about that one. Perhaps in the next pay cycle, eh? When LdF gets things back in stock, a mixed batch could be a pleasant Thanksgiving package.

Pensieve and I just split a bottle of T73's Boysenberry Mead. It was very yummy and IMHO beats the hell out of wine.

The stuff isn't exotic but tastes and feels pleasant.

Okay, I swear I'm not making this up:

Got home today and found a love note from the flying monkeys on my door asking me to stop by their house for a box o' goodies. I jumped into the car and practically skipped over to their place. While the lady at the counter was checking my ID, she says to me, "You have the same name as my little monkey." I found that hilarious. Busted up laughing. Oh - it turns out her daughters knickname is "Little Monkey". Go figure. Now I'm home. Need to decide from the box of goodies. Think I'll go with some P30.

Put on a couple of gym socks whilst the auto-demolition was going on. Then went green as the red light came on. Tempted to end my evening in flames as a tribute. But I'll resist. Have to go see what the last one will be.

Ahhhh, Duplais Blanche to relax my mind. This stuff is so nice, silky smooth and lingers long enough to appreciate.

Time for another.
