Dogfish Head 120 minute IPA.

After reading the (belated) news of the reopening and restortation of Ulrich's (1868) Tavern in Buffalo on Farcebook™, I couldn't think of a better libation to toast their enduring success.

Speedway Stout.

And Fremont KDS Coffee Edition, side by side.

Speedway was blown out of the water, totally.

Sorry to hear such news Bill.
Absomphe, why must you always give me a need to go out and find what you are drinking, this KDS coffee edition sounds delicious.
For me tonight is some Remy Martin 1738 and some Bud's Eggnog. Good stuff both separate and together.
Absinthe Veritas, Distiller Probitas. These are the things we fight for.

I'm thinking Solerno will be fine company while enjoying Footballday.

Quick question.... I can't seem to find any Marteau Master's Reserve in stock. Perhaps... maybe... there is someone aware of a vendor that might have it? Maybe?

Against the Grain's London Balling, a remarkably dry sherry-like bourbon barrel aged barleywine.

Lots of fruity and esters, persimmon, kumquat, slight raisin, pecan, Brazil nut, walnut, vanilla, oak and cream.

Fantastic stuff!

Having some Lagavulin 16, very strong flavor profile. I'm enjoying it.

I really enjoyed the Lagavulin, it's a different taste than what I usually go for. I'm more of a Balvenie guy.

The heavy smokey peat flavor was surprising at first, but I think I might start trying more whiskys in that direction.

I will admit... After finishing the bottle of scotch (with my neighbor) I poured a bit of Stroh 80 in a glass and drank it (it was the nearst bottle that had something in it) . I should have kept the good taste in my mouth, now it's just butterscotchish.

Blanchette. Wonderful stuff.

The room it smelled heavy of drinkin',

and the sad silent song, made the hour twice as long,

as I waited for that sun to go sinkin'.

Okay, Cap'n, you convinced me to try one bottle this year's vintage, although I'm pretty much over the stuff.

For me, too much roast, and not enough bourbon barrel for balance.

Yet another Fremont KDS Coffee Edition today.

Now, that is my idea of beer heaven.

I was a little disappointed with the 2014. I did get a few 2013 bottles to age so, hopefully better in a couple of years.
