The reviews I've read, (not to mention the name), tell me that's my kinda tipple.

Yes it is Abs, hope it reaches you soon!

Fremont Bourbon Abominable 2013.

Love that roasty chocolate overlayed with massive bourbony goodness!

Maybe I should break out my Apocalypse Now disk to go with it....

Fremont UPA brewed with gin and vermouth soaked wood chips and lemongrass.

Much more delicious than it sounds!

Absinthe Bourgeois from Emile Pernot. Amazing body for only 55 degrees. And the label's a killer. I need to get more, my 50ml bottle is down to about 1 more glass.

L'Entêté.

A fine drop, albeit a bit sweet. Great uplifting absinthe. Not dark and brooding like the Jades.

Afterwards a Blanchette and then an Edouard. The 2013 Edouard is the closest to a pre-ban absinthe I have ever tasted.

Must be something about those 150 yr old stills at Combier. It's hard to find anything that compares in a modern CO.

The room it smelled heavy of drinkin',

and the sad silent song, made the hour twice as long,

as I waited for that sun to go sinkin'.

DFH Randal IPA brewed with Peruvian coffee.

That's some tasty coffee, but the ale would have been better if some ale flavor could have come through.

An interesting experiment, nonetheless.

Drops of water, one per breath, fall gently down and hit the surface, submerge and feather out, to fall and become one with the small cloud forming in the bottom of the glass.
