Straw Colored Leopold Bros. ?

Recommended Posts

I recently found a bottle of Leopold Bros. Vert on the shelf. The reviews I have read claim it to be a peridot green. The bottle I found was yhe color of straw. Basically the color of St. Germain.

It is batch 93. I understand light can damage the color in a clear bottle. I realize this qualifies as a color flaw, but is it going to have any flavor defects?

I have been wanting to try leobro but I dont want to waste money on a misstreated bottle that wont display what the distillery intended.

Any absinthe that is colored with natural ingredients with turn a tan/brown (feuille morte) color over time with exposure to light. Not a bad thing. Not a color flaw.

If I walked into a store and saw that I would buy immediately.

I like Leopolds but it certainly is better having rested for awhile.
