Rjwalker1037 Report post Posted December 12, 2017 I recently found a bottle of Leopold Bros. Vert on the shelf. The reviews I have read claim it to be a peridot green. The bottle I found was yhe color of straw. Basically the color of St. Germain. It is batch 93. I understand light can damage the color in a clear bottle. I realize this qualifies as a color flaw, but is it going to have any flavor defects? I have been wanting to try leobro but I dont want to waste money on a misstreated bottle that wont display what the distillery intended.
Defiant Report post Posted December 29, 2017 Any absinthe that is colored with natural ingredients with turn a tan/brown (feuille morte) color over time with exposure to light. Not a bad thing. Not a color flaw.

greytail Report post Posted January 1, 2018 If I walked into a store and saw that I would buy immediately. I like Leopolds but it certainly is better having rested for awhile.
JosephLabrecque Report post Posted January 2, 2018 Most of the bottles of Leopolds I've seen have been less green and more amber/yellow/straw. Quite normal!

stardust Report post Posted January 30, 2018 I just bought a bottle of batch 99 and it’s a bit more yellowish than I remember, but every bit as delicious!
