Georges Meliès Report post Posted October 14, 2015 This is a true work of art: a solid sterling silver replica of what is arguably the most beautiful absinthe spoon ever made. The original spoon by Armand Frénais cost 3.50F at the turn of the 20th century -- a fortune for the time, and nearly as much as a dozen ordinary absinthe spoons. Kirk's hand-made replicas list at $375 at absinthes.com, with a couple of weeks delay for completion and shipping. I am offering this carefully used example for immediate shipment at $300 postpaid (US). It works as well as it looks; the thin veins of the leaf cause the water to drip through in very small drops, and if you use sugar the veins prevent any large pieces from falling through. The picture doesn't do it justice. It's a gorgeous spoon.
