Birth of the absinthe fountain.

Recommended Posts

Anyone interested in the history and development of absinthania and absinthe gear should follow the Blog from Le Musée de l'Absinthe à Auvers-sur-Oise (Marie-Claude Delahaye)

From 1878, here we have first documented, purpose made "Carafe_Fountain" specifically patented for absinthe.

It looks like a cross between a carafe and an apothecary dispenser.

From a few posts back on m. Delahaye's blog, we can see that inventors were starting to design and patent things for absinthe in the 1840's, which tracks the rise in popularity of absinthe.
