Pernod Fils c.1910 samples available

Recommended Posts

I was lucky enough to get a rather stupendous deal for a bottle of PF1910 from a reputable collector. However, since it doesn't have a label, I'd prefer to enjoy its contents and let others do the same. I'll be pulling out a sample later today and posting a review to give you an idea of how this one tastes.

Please PM me for more details.

For those of you who ordered, samples are packed up and ready to ship. SpecialtyBottle.com sent me 60ml bottles instead of 50mls, so I filled the air pocket with argon so you won't get any premature oxidation. Should all go out tomorrow.

Only a few left if anyone else is interested.

I tasted mine last night. One word: wow.

Absolutely amazing. Unctuous. Complex. Fragrant. Did I mention complex? It's downright luxurious and makes me (again) wish that someone would/could make something so astonishingly good today. Jade 1901 is in the general ballpark, it vaguely captures the overall character, but it's miles away from truly matching the source.

It's a real tossup between this and the 1914. I have tasted the latter twice so far, this one may exceed it but in a slightly different way. Damn it's good. I wish I could afford a full liter.

I could barely believe how thick it is -- visually and in the mouth. Which is why I say 'unctuous'. The louche was stunning to watch, and also rather quick to fully cloud. I'd love to have a full bottle of a treasure like this! But I'm just happy knowing I have one more occasion to look forward to. :worshippy:
