Little things like, "Do I stop heating the coloring distillate at 148f or 152f?  Do I let it rest on the heat or off?  Do I wait 6 hours or 8 or 12 before I do the initial filtering? etc..."


You, Marc, and myself have completely different finishing protocols. I'm absolutely not making any species of correct/incorrect comment; quite the reverse. As you said, "every batch offers new learning opportunities no matter how tiny those opportunities are." It's true, and I just love that.  It makes me feel all artisanal an' shit.
