Hi all! I am a newcomer. I find absinthe fascinating. The history, the process...etc. Trying my first absinthe this weekend. It's Kübler...I know, I know, not top of the line but hey, this is all new for me.

Welcome. Kubler is a good absinthe to get started with. Investigate the posts and reviews here and you'll be well on your way.

If you don't like anise at all, you're not likely to care for any decent absinthe, as absinthe is an anise flavored drink. It's kind of like asking if there are any good beers that don't taste like hops or malt.----Hiram

Welcome to the forum.  I have a bottle of Kübler that is close to 10 years old and tastes better every year.

You can do a lot worse as I have in the past! Something called the Green Fairy is more like lighter fluid than a liquor!  Most good or great Absnthes are not found where I live - So after experimenting with a good start which was Lucid, It only went down hill from ther until I decided to purchase from good reputable dealers that have wonderful selections of Absinthe both American and European.  Enjoy your weekend!

Top o' da mornin'! Well, actually it's afternoon here but....

Explore and enjoy.

The room it smelled heavy of drinkin',

and the sad silent song, made the hour twice as long,

as I waited for that sun to go sinkin'.
