Blimey!!  :pirate:

The room it smelled heavy of drinkin',

and the sad silent song, made the hour twice as long,

as I waited for that sun to go sinkin'.

Nothing there to hate at all.

What are the flakes accumulating at the bottom?  Was that sugar?

as of last night, my bottle is empty. the Lucid is gone. :-(

in attempting to decide what to try next, I've narrowed it down to two: Vilya (Verte) and Vieux Carre.

I've heard great things about both, especially Vilya, and I'm leaning towards this as the next step. any pros or cons in going this way? also, neither are (to my knowledge) available locally for purchase, so I will be venturing into online storefronts.. any suggestions as to the best / most trusted online absinthe retailers?

thanks, and cheers!

I believe Catskill Cellars carries both! (along with many other nice absinthes)

http://catskillcellars.com/ - cheap shipping, too.

I've heard great things about both, especially Vilya, and I'm leaning towards this as the next step.

VC is a nice drink, but Vilya is a "wow!"  Bright and floral, many nice flavors open up.

In contrast, VC has a heavy taste from star anise and the mints used.  and can be a bit cloying at times, yet it has some unique qualities.

Get both if at all possible.  It makes for a nice comparison of styles.
