What are you Smoking?!?!

Recommended Posts

My Mixture 965. Sweet, figgy, plummy goodness topped with some cinnamon and nutmeg spices while watching one of our favorite YouTube pipe smokers:

Postman just dropped off a few more tins for us to try: G.L. Pease's Abingdon, Dunhill's Deluxe Navy Rolls, and Orlik's Dark Strong Kentucky. Rubbing out the flakes now and letting them rest a bit before jarring.

Orlik - Dark Strong Kentucky. Smells more like licorice than the smoke tastes. Oddly enough, reminds us a lot of Hobbit's Weed by Tewksbury (even though that was a cherry aro). Has the same sweetness and citrusy notes as "the weed" as well. Quite nice actually. Though we're mostly an English/Balkan and Vaper smoker, we do occasionally enjoy a sweet, more dessert-like smoke; and this certainly hits the spot. Watching more pipe-smoking YouTubers talk:

Dunhill's Deluxe Navy Rolls

Probably the best Vaper we've had (even better than Escudo Navy Flake and Bell's Three Nuns). Mature and well-melded. The Virginias impart a wonderful dark-fruit sweetness and the perique offers a sweet nutmeg and cinnamony smoke. Nicotine is a little on the high-side so make sure you have a full meal before imbibing. Highly recommended.

mac baren hh latakia flake. lots of citrus notes on this one for the first half of the bowl. some nice spice as well once the citrus flavors start to fade and the smoke starts to mellow. not bad one bit.

Happy belated pipe-smoking day!

C&D Autumn Evening. Quite a nice aromatic tobacco. Far less sweet in flavor than the tin-note advertises. Solid tobacco with a bit of spice. Also scored ourselves a 100g tin of McClelland's 40th anniversary. Pretty sure this is the second run of the stuff; first batch sold out too fast for us to procure. We'll probably let it sit on the shelf for a bit. Still too many other tobaccos for us to finish smoking first.

Coffee and some Bell's Three Nuns. Ordered a Cornell & Diehl Carolina Gent with some of Captain Earle's Stimulus Package as well as a few Arturo Fuente Exquisito Maduros. Hoping to try some new pipe tobaccos soon as Dunhill and McClelland seem to have finally closed their doors due to the new FDA regulation enactments. Been hearing about this for a while, but we're still saddened by the current state of affairs. :3869-sadbanana:

Yeah it's a shame, hopefully the right hands get greased so things can get right again. As always keep on choochin' brotha! :punk:

On the bright side I had three lovely tins of Baccy come in today and smoked some C&D Opening Night in a lovely moonshine bent egg. B)

Got ourselves a tin of some of Rattray's Wallace Flake and a tin of the constantly sold out Bengal Slices. Look forward to seeing how these smoke. Little unsure since they each have some top-note to them; but, then again, we had the same worries about Orlik's Dark Strong Kentucky and that smoked just fine.

That Pirate Kake is mighty fine. Loving the VaBur tobaccos lately, though. Thinking of placing some St. Bruno, Peterson's University Flake, and HH Old Dark Fired in our next pipe order. For now, we're enjoying our Bell's Three Nuns and some of the Rattray's Wallace Flake that we've got left.

Had an eclair and some coffee as a break from our nightly fast. Cracking open our last tin of McClelland's Tudor Castle. This was our go-to smoke; but, alas, there will be no more. Savoring the experience.
