My understanding,(and of course I could be wrong)is that my two favorite Jades:Eddy,& 1901 are bottled but can't be shipped until they put new labels on the bottles.Does anyone know when Eddy & 1901 will be available again,or may be currently available? I can't find them anywhere.I looked on Jade's website,FB,&Twitter page,& I couldn't find any info.

I have no idea. It wouldn't surprise me if the TTB is drawing this out way longer than they need to. It seems they can approve any non-absinthe related thing rather quickly but they take plenty of time with our kind.

You can have a beer label depicting all kinds of nonsense, a vodka label with some anime kayaking woman, or a wine label with a nude silhouette drawing. But don't you dare say the wrong thing by a punctuation mark on an absinthe label.

Ask Ted or someone else at Viridian. I know Ted means to bring. A couple more Jades here.

Why would anyone care when Jades hit the U.S.? They will be WAY over priced $110+.

Save your money and take the special from absinthe.com. 4 jades at an average of $86 each and free shipping.

Blame the iPad.......everyone else does.
Some folks may cringe each time I use the term "Booze" regarding these high quality drinks.
I mean no offense. There are bottles of extraordinary booze out there. I've tasted a few. Relax.

I'd pay the extra for US legal JL 1901. I'm crazy that way.

That is my big jade pet peeve. Thank goodness for Pacifique T-corks.
I really like how Ridge corks their bottles, it is easy on tired brains.

I would have eagerly joined in the contempt expressed until recently, when I read something that Alan Moss wrote which gave me pause: that it helps in "ruling out some of the more sensational and misleading approaches to absinthe marketing that have plagued other countries". I'm not quite ready to credit the U.S. government with that level of foresight, but it's for sure that if you allow an unscrupulous marketer too many commas, he'll next want a pork chop or lucy in the sky with diamonds.

You and Alan have a good point with that. But they also nitpick words on otherwise classy and appropriate labels. Oh and... :chop:

I have a feeling the Jades will not be priced at $100+ per bottle when they hit shelves here. Jade NO seems to be under $100 where it is available in the U.S. Hopefully we may even see a price drop in Lucid once all the Jades are available on the shelves here.

Evan, I haven't seen NO for under $110.99 in the US.That would be from Catskill Cellars,DUNY,(who no longer offers free shipping)& some local NY liquor stores. It's not available here in Ct,can you tell me where it's available for under $100? It would be nice to save some cash.

I believe it was in Denver. Next time I'm down there I'll take a look again. Maybe one of the guys just a bit down south can do some recon.

Up here it's not even on the shelves and it's only behind one bar in town.

Down here it's a myth. Spec's was supposed to carry it. But they know as much about absinthe as they know about nuclear physics. :)

I remember seeing Jade NO in ONE online place for under $100... can't remember which right now but I'll investigate. I was doing a nation-wide search to find one vendor that sold ALL my (US available) favorites. Wasn't successful.

Found it: It's Hi-Time Wine Cellars. Jade NO is $99.99 (well, it IS under $100, technically speaking).

They also have Leopold's, Duplais, VC, St George, Obsello and a bunch more I've never tried. But no Ridge or Pacifique.

DUNY,(who no longer offers free shipping)

Ouch! I used to order from them frequently for that reason. How long ago did this come about?

Look at their rates in the FAQs and you'll see the new rates are pretty negligible. Up to 6 bottles to PA for $12.99. That sounds like the shipping box, the stockroom guy's time, and not much else.

Same sentiments here. They only ship beer and wine to TN but no spirits.
