I painted a Ridge painting the other night and decided to do a couple more. I drew up some concepts today at work (shhhh, don't tell) so here they are and I will post the paintings when they are done.

The Ridge painting is on its way to Joe and I have given thought to making some more, with these since they both have clear bottles have each one with a different level in it. So maybe do 5 of each until the bottle is empty.

That is if there is interest, I don't know.

Anyways, the concepts:

And the one on the way to Ridge:

Most of us are fairly obsessive about absinthe <pause...sips...continues> so it's pretty safe to assume, there is an interest.

<-----Extremely excited about the Ridge painting especially!

Christy wants to paint too.

Thanks for sharing. Not being an artist at all, I really enjoy seeing the concept drawings, a bit of the process behind the final piece. Love the Ridge painting!

This is the girl's work from last night.

Christy's interpretation of local pro female disc golfer Rachel Conley:

Z's painting (she's 9, she is going to be amazing)
I told her to be careful with all the small stuff it will be hard to have that kind of detail and then she outlines everything with smaller and cleaner lines than either of us could manage.

I like the disc golf pic. I was a pro disc golfer in the early 80's. Now I just have <sniff> vintage plastic stacked in the garage. Nice pics and thank you so much for sharing. :wave2:

Very cool! Christy won US women's in 2010 in the rec div but that was when she was unemployed so she got out to play a lot.

You know you have a stack of money in that garage right? People pay stupid prices for vintage plastic these days.

I'm not sure what vintage is but I quit playing regularly in 1984. My nephew and I will play a round ot two when he's in town. My pro number was/is 2818 I believe. The PDGA will have it on file.

I gave my nephew the new disc with my name and number stamped on it in gold that they give you when you join the PDGA. Virgin plastic. He was thirlled. He plays in south Florida. It's a good game and decent exercise. I believe he plays pro but not sure. His wife just gave him his first child, a son, last week. He's a bit busy right now. ;)

Sorry for the derailment.

Yes, absinthe and art just go so well together. There, back on track.

Nice...and the power of suggestion is making me want to reach into my cabinet for a very similar-looking bottle...
I think, therefore I am. Or am I over-thinking? I am thinking it over...

Very nice w/the Pacifique. Now I need to figure a way to enlarge the picture and hang it up in the distillery.

If you don't like anise at all, you're not likely to care for any decent absinthe, as absinthe is an anise flavored drink. It's kind of like asking if there are any good beers that don't taste like hops or malt.----Hiram

Tonight's selection isn't absinthe related but I am drinking Pacifique!

This is Molly Schaus, she is the US women's hockey team goalie and main goalie for the CWHL's Boston Blades. We are flying up to see them play this weekend and they are doing their breast cancer fundraiser. I painted this for the team to auction, I hope it gets some bids, if not my ass is taking it home because I love it.
