Hello all,

My name is Jason, but most people simply call me Fox, and I was introduce to absinthe by my girlfriend about a year ago (despite the fact that she hates the smell and taste of anise/licorice); it was instantly drink of choice for any occasion.

I'm a photographic/printmaking artist in Jacksonville, Fl and have recently begun producing absinthe themed work to not only aid in the spread of popularity, but also the understanding, of absinthe.

Bienvenue!

What are some of the brands of absinthe you've sampled?

Thank you for all the welcomes.

Alfred, nothing to fancy I'm afraid as I've been visiting local stores, which unfortunately include a stock of mostly fake types(never purchased), grande absinthe(the sampler), absinthe original(tried at a bar), and mythe(now cook it in my oil burner as incense). By far, the best of them has been Lucid, but as I've tapped out all local and convenient sources for other brands, I'm going to have to find a website to start ordering from.

I heartily recommend the Catskills Cellars. They are in our recommended vendors list. All the absinthes they offer are good.

Welcome! I second Catskill Cellars, also Drink Up NY. If Lucid is the best you can get (likewise here in my state) ordering online is a MUST.

Some may disagree, but I think it's the best absinthe money can buy.

These are some other great ones as well:

Ridge Verte
Walton Waters
La Grenouille
Berthe de Joux

Check out this site's review section for other choice selections. Pour votre santé.

Checked out both catskill and drinkup, a nice selection indeed. I'm thinking I'll try the Ridge Verte and order a couple of the miniatures from the absinthes.com site Alfred posted.
