Songcatcher, January 21, 2012 in Absinthe In Art
Cool. I like the Beatles, and the art went will with them!
Blackbird is one of my all time favorite songs. It's simple and suits me just fine.
The artwork was gorgeous.
Thank you so much for sharing. Cheers!
Yes the artwork and music went well together.
Thanks, that was great.
Thanks! Very cool! After seeing that, I saw one of Destino set to PF's Time.
Other than Dali's liver, not sure where absinthe ties in here. I love his art, but Aa is not the herb that comes to mind when I see it.
McCartney made Blackbird for the racial struggle in the United States during 60's. But, still is a timely music and subject !
Other than Dali's liver, not sure where absinthe ties in here.
well i wondered that myself at first, but i was enjoying a glass at the time so does that count ? then i began to wonder what influence Absinthe may have had on surrealism ?
absinthe made all those artists drunk.... they slept like bears after several glasses of the cloudy-green stuff, and when they woke up they finished their pieces of art ...
<----- a drunk bear who likes absinthe !
Found this neat little piece the other day. A print on canvas. At an antique shop for $15
And saw this in a flea market. Hand painted on a recycled pallet
The artist was asking $350 but i'd rather spend it on absinthe
What are the dimensions?
Found this one from the same artist. Same as above. Hand painted on a wooden pallet.
Nice. I like the cat.
Very nice - almost as nice as the link off to the side that has all the naked women.
