Is it art...I think so! I just wanted to share this with you guys. My newest Resonator Electric guitar body, finished in a large glitter flake absinthe green, by my friend Marty Bell in CA. He's famous for his off-the-hook paint jobs. The green is more present in person than in this vid.

It will be tacky as all Hell, and cool because of it! Yes, it's for me...it's been too many years since I made a new toy for myself.

Awesome guitar. What's the body made out of?

Edit: what kind of wood, rather.

Here you guys, a couple of you wanted to see her when she was done, which happened today. I just took the photos. I call her Texas Green in honor of a friend. I'm keeping this one. I haven't made a guitar for myself in many years. If you're curious, I call this color absinthe-sparkle.

I want to know when you'll be having an absinthe-guitar playing, absinthe-drinking gig for your absinthe friends.

PV... too funny. Hed... happy belated Bday, I missed it!

Thanks guys. I'm off to have a glass of Blues Cat, and really break this thing in. The BC seemed right for the occassion.

Said cat can do some serious bass guitar playing. I'm toasting your handy work with Ericsinthe.

Yes Miguel, the Blues Cat that Eric was involved in is pretty good stuff. I wouldn't call it Ericsinthe however, as others were involved in its production. Cheers.

That photo needs to be included in your next absinthe book, Scott.

Whenever you get around to doing a reprise, that is.

There were several mentions that your book was NOT on the big coffee table in front of the fireplace at the Kandahar Lodge. Their stock dropped a little due to that.

Volume 2 should be out when?

 Very kind words Bill, and thanks for asking.
I was planning on not talking about it too much. (I did too much of that the last time. )
It's all done now, except for the final chapter to be photographed in October, at the museum in Pontarlier. If all goes well, and the publisher's printing facility doesn't have another flood, she'll be out in early 2013.

Yup. Thankfully it was my own louche-induced drool. Mr. Plasticstatic, as you know, you're always welcome here to empty a glass and drool on a guitar of your choice.

Go to his website and drool away.....Gorgeous instruments. If the guitarist can do them justice, they will be, well, beautiful. Sorry, I lack the vocabulary to make it more grand.

Absomphe could help, he's a huge fan of yours Scott and he has a vocabulary that sometimes I think he just makes up to throw me off. ;)
