With the weather taking a turn for the better in my opinion and the holidays quickly approaching I find myself sniffing my 4 year old bottle of Marteau and longing for a taste of a dear and beautiful love of mine. Anyone have or know anyone with a bottle/sample of Marteau they are willing to part with? Any more rumors floating around out there for when Mr. Stone may have the new production ready for release? Sorry if this is a taboo topic but I just have to know anything I can about my favorite absinthe. Thanks guys, and im going to try to be less of a stranger around here as i have been these past months.

Not a taboo topic at all. I'm experiencing an unfortunate delay in getting the new distillery permits, so new production is at least a few months away. It seems that K&L Wines in California are finally out of stock (they bought up half of the last run in 2009).

I know a couple of folks here also stocked up when I found out I'd be out of production for a while, so maybe someone will be able to come to your rescue.

Very happy to hear production is still planned for the somewhat near future. Shirley would be nice to get a small stash for my holiday needs if help is out there ;)

Any more rumors floating around out there

This rumor is floating around Hollywood:
Marteau was delayed until the release of of the upcoming film "Distillers and Bikini Babes".

It is a story about the hero:

staring:

as the distiller.
The story is about a distiller who trolls the beaches for babes in bikinis from Seattle to Malibu, and finds that the secret ingredient for a crapsinth made by the Evil Distiller Dr. Burnswasser is made with
NITRO

um, like most internet rumors, this one is probably not true :3869-sadbanana:

I keep hearing about this mystical spirit. I've seen the extra cool photos on FB. But I know nothing is slower than federal bureocracy.

I just missed the last bottles in stock at K&L, :3869-sadbanana: it was one of those unfortunate 'I'll pick it up next time' mistakes.

I mean no offense. There are bottles of extraordinary booze out there. I've tasted a few. Relax.

I seem to recall a dusty bottle or two with your name on them, Bill. Don't recall where.

im currently ok on 2009 bottles but may still be interested in some 2008 offerings if there are any floating around out there. I wish i saved a little of what was last of mine. I always like to compare batches. 2009 seems to have lost a lot of the jalapeno in the nose bcompared to what i remember of the 2008 but it sure does hold true to the medicinal palate.

There is a small wine shop in Centennial, Colorado that has been carrying Marteau from 2008. Last time I was in there, less than a week ago, they still had two or three bottles. I'm not sure if they do phone orders, but it is the wine shop attached to Tony's Meats and I believe it's official name is The Wine List. You might give them a call.

It's been moths since I've seen it on the shelf too. Moths and moths. So many moths ago.

I keep going back, though... hoping. I'm like one of those bugs attracted to a flame. You know, a month.

Hi Folks!

Being new to the forum, and still making my way through the virtual reams of posts, I finally have the scoop on why I can't find any Marteau! (DUNY has it listed "Out of stock. There is no ETA at this time.")

Can I assume that there will be great cheers throughout the WS forums when the next release is made? On the otherhand I have bookmarked Gnostalgic Spirits website and will be hitting it regularly as well.

Many moths indeed. I will go back and check, but I'm pretty sure that they had two bottles a week ago. I can post a number when I confirm they have some in stock.

I was in the wine shop in Centennial on Friday and they have two bottles of Marteau. According to a Google search, their phone number is (303) 770-4297. You might give them a call and see if they can ship to you.

They're also getting in some of the new batch of Leopold's Maryland Rye, which I am very excited about.
