Absinthe Raisonnee is based on a classic recipe from the second half of the 19th century. However, according to certain research of various absinthe enthusiasts if follows the idea that petite absinthe didn't mean artemisia pontica but genepi. A little wild artemisia species of the Alps, growing high above 2000 m which is very difficult to find and harvest. With that absinthe we want to rediscover the original taste of absinthe suisse by using different recipes incorporating rare and unique plants used in the first half of 19th century by some of the brands.


Historical research were made by muse de France and by Boggy, this explains why you can find 2 different labels for this absinthe.

Really well done with the Raisonnée label, Phil.



We've got the Raisonnée now available at Absinthes.com and also signed bottles of the 2nd edition Boggy absinthe. The colour is really much lighter and greener, and Bogumil told me that the artemisia gathered from high altitudes is actually génépi, which makes a lot of sense!
