Vegan Absinth

Recommended Posts

Of course! I forgot they use a distilled cyser for their base.

I thought a distilled pyment would work better for absinthe. Hmmm, as soon as I get caught up on a few things... :g:

I keep mead making supplies handy just in case I get the urge to build a batch.

So instead of Isinglas (fish parts) for clearing, I use Bentonite clay. Identical to the stuff they drill oil and gas wells with.........according to things I've read. Trying to keep the thread on track. ;)

I use irish moss for most of my beers and either isinglas or bentonite for meads and other experiments.

The brewing and experimenting around my house has been rather dormant since early February but this cooler weather has caused a stirring in my gut..........I should have a few things to sip in the next couple months.

I know a guy that has a cousin that used to work on one of them drilling thingies. Lost a few fingers and walks with a limp so I figured he was trust worthy. :)
