Just added the review section.

As always, give it an hour or so before it becomes visible.

My review will be posted later this evening.

This stuff is pretty tasty. Review to follow, after a few more days of drinking and thinking.

The name always throws me off. Gets me thinking about absinthe brats.

You didn't miss anything, as they still have it. It is $114. Expensive to be sure, but only a little higher than the Jades, and the herb bill is very special. It was a lot of work for them to harvest enough wild wormwood in the mountains to make this! To me, it's a rare opportunity. Money is tight here too, but I went in with a friend to buy a couple bottles and get free shipping.

I'm hoping to have the time to post a review tonight.

...Scott, thank you for the review.

....i knew that the Sauvage was going to be a great absinthe.... considering the distillery and all the special and unique attention it received to produce it.......

Being the first person to review this absinthe was a brave choice for me, and a challenging one; which is why I did it. We are so influenced by the reviews we read that come before ours, that I often wonder how much these previous reviews influence/guide us in our own. In Sauvage's case, hardly anyone has even tasted it, so there are nearly zero references outside of Pernot's PR available.

Writing the first review, especially with an absinthe so new that many have not even tried it, puts on a lot of pressure to really pay attention and dig in...there are no references to guide us, it is purely how we feel. Then comes the moment of truth when everyone either thinks you're crazy, or close to reality...not that it matters, our reviews are written through our individual and unique filters. I'm curious to see how others feel about this absinthe!

I plan to hold off on the next few new absinthes to let others who've never done it, write the first reviews...it is a worthy challenge, and will help you grow!

Aw, c'mon, Brian.

Tell us how you really feel. ;)

Very nice review, Scott, but for some reason, I'm still not quite motivated enough to order any.

Maybe a few warmer days here would change my tune.

Not that I wouldn't be perfectly happy if we never had any of those this "summer".

Patiently awaiting the arrival.
Since it's signature required, I wish they'd emailed shipping info.
It's much easier to make sure I'm here when I need to be, when I know when I need to be here.

Yeah, sane people seeing what I paid might say that. It will be my 'special occation' absinthe, so I'm ok. I just need to strech my everyday absinthes until I recover financially. It will be intrested to see how my 'everyday' absinthes will stack up, considering they are pretty darn good.

I just hope they get here before I head to the beach, as it was my evil plan to enjoy it while listening to the waves crash, and watching the sun set.

Anywhere from three days to three weeks. Sometimes it's amazing how fast the stuff travels.

Some folks may cringe each time I use the term "Booze" regarding these high quality drinks.
I mean no offense. There are bottles of extraordinary booze out there. I've tasted a few. Relax.

If after shelling out $45 for shipping, this arrives after I leave fir vacation, I'll be muy pissed, and will have to acknowledge the wisdom of the clown.
