I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I just received my copy of this beautiful book.  I've already spent a couple hours pouring over the images; what a treasure-trove!  Worth every penny - outstanding work.

"First, like everyone, I appreciated the effect of slight drunkenness; then very soon I grew to like what lies beyond violent drunkenness, when one has passed that stage: a magnificent and terrible peace, the true taste of the passage of time. "

In spite of internet research, I still like to have books of my hobbies, encyclopedic, not novels. Being I consider enjoying Absinthe more of a hobby than something to drink, naturally I had to buy a book. My first book, before I read about it here, was "Absinthe Antiques: A collection from la Belle Époque"...!

Can't wait to ID my replica Absinthe toys and give them a reference number.

The cover looks beautiful, don't know whether it should go in my library or my Absinthe cabinet!
