Total crap.

Never a bad idea to ask rammer, if you can't find a review or discussion about a particular brand. It's not absolute, but if absinthe is misspelled and especially if its missing that last letter that's a good indication of fauxsinth. Besides, the name is is too similar to make (in) bathtub, as in we want to make a profit not a good absinthe.

Label art is cool though

Disclaimer: I know very little of foreign languages and the one I do claim to speak fluently. Or grammer. Or spelling. What's this punctuation you speak of?

I believe "Maktub" is Czech for "pour down drain immediately", roughly translated...Nice re-use of the classic Hill's bottle, too.

I stand corrected, sir!
I'm afraid I still don't have high hopes for it, though... ;)

Also note on the label, "Absinth". Seems that those misspellings can be a giveaway as well. Correct me if I'm wrong, but has anyone ever had a good absinthe with this spelling?

I prefer this Maktub instead.

PS: I have around 10-12 absinthe brands that I do like a lot, and I really got less interested in trying new stuff just for the sake of it......

I understand this statement and have days like that. It seems that I wait longer now to buy a new brand or version until there are more reviews and my curiosity increases. I will, in time, buy the newer brands. Some of the standards will shift like the seasons.
Some folks may cringe each time I use the term "Booze" regarding these high quality drinks.
I mean no offense. There are bottles of extraordinary booze out there. I've tasted a few. Relax.

I believe "Maktub" is Czech for " light on fire, and pour the ashes down drain immediately", roughly translated.

There, fixed.

I believe the Czech interpolation of Shakespeare's classic Makbeth is roughly translated in the same manner.
