Well, I got mine today. Thanks Gwydion and Brian! It is a great log for reviews, and I like the
follow-up review for each, that's a great idea. The notes on blind tasting are also something that many will benefit from, should they have their own event!

Best of luck with the sales, it is not much to ask members to utilize this nice journal to help support the WS website, a site where all info is free to members.

Best, Scott

Received mine today. Great work by the authors/designers, sadly let down by Lulu's printing. Maybe mine was printed in the UK (on William Caxton's press?).

I've already complained to Lulu and got an automated reply to send them digital photos as proof. I'll keep you posted (assuming you want to know how QC complaints are handled).

What was wrong with the printing? I'm definitely interested to know what's wrong. You're probably correct that it was printed in the UK.

Poor and variable printing, with the text on many pages being slightly blurred.

Page i is poor
Page iii is OK.
Pages iv/v and 1 - 40 are poor and unacceptable.
The rest is passable, especially since those would be user-completed pages (hence even more blurred after a few reviews!)

I might have put it down to my eyesight: however page iii is fine, so I would have expected the others to be of the same quality. I'll send you a copy of a page when I do a copy for Lulu.

I might have put it down to my eyesight ...

Alternatively it could have been the drinks, but that wouldn't make one page blurred and the next one fine, would it?

It depends on if you originally were only getting your swerve on, and then advanced to getting your slant on. It's a FINE line.

Alan, I got your pics, and yes, that's disappointing. I believe you are correct though about the printers, as I think they source printing from regional printers, or at least within the same country.

Just got mine a little while ago, and I must say I quite like it! I like the binding, (though the top binding makes the intro chapters a little harder to read) as it allows the book to sit nice and flat. Its fun to drink a glass and go through the review procedure. It adds a little structure to a glass of absinthe.

I like the book, and am really glad I found it.
