Absinthe Marteau and Gnostalgic Distillery

Recommended Posts

I'm secretly hoarding a bottle from the first run - just can't open it until I know more is on the way ;)

For those of you who are (inexcusably) not subscribed to Gnostalgic News, or my blog, I thought I'd post an update here on some recent news.

• After the inevitable delays of haggling with TTB specialists over whether a particular botanical is safe or not (in spite of them being clearly listed in CFR 21 172.510), formula approval is only days away, and then production can finally resume!

• I signed up a distributor for Washington this week, and we'll begin lining up accounts in about two weeks, after I have a chance to train the staff in Absinthe 101.

• Last month, Bluewolf Pete and I did a tasting at the annual benefit gala for University of Washington's Henry Art Gallery. It was glamorous and glitzy and folks loved us. Although I suspect they were simply using us to get to the Marteau.

• This month, Absinthe Marteau is sponsoring The Moisture Festival, and will be served at all of the burlesque shows, playing at the Broadway Performance Hall (we're huge burlesque and nouveau cirque fans). Pete, Trinity and I will be pouring at most of them.

• Then on the 31st, we'll be pouring again at a benefit for The Stranger Genius Awards and Shunpike at the Space Needle.

• Next month, on April 5th, we'll be pouring at The Sound of Silents with a Side of Schtick.

Things are picking up, and I'm looking forward to putting Marteau in a store near you!

Moooiiiiisssssst!

Oh, by the way . . . any idea on when . . . oh, say DrinkUpNY might have Marteau in stock? They have a listing for it but has been "Out of Stock", for understandable reasons, for as long as I've been hitting their site. :yahoo:

I have a subscription to your news letter and didn't receive one. (yet)

But that's all really great news, I can't wait to be able to add it to my DUNY orders!

Great day in the morning! Awesome news.! Will there be enough for everyone? Or will it be gladiator battle to the death to procure the golden chalise?

The last one went out on March 12th. If you didn't get that one, I'll look into it.

It'll probably be more economical to just pick it up from your local OLCC store.

Not at first. The first few batches will probably be split between WA, OR, NY, and NOLA, but you'll be able to get it online at drinkupny.com and others.

I did get that one....please forgive the confusion.

I'd gladly buy it off the shelf, unfortunately, the shelf options in my tiny little valley are still limited to a very poor selection.

I'd much rather wait for my online order to arrive than settle for what is available locally.

 :yahoo: and Congrats again on being so close to giving Marteau back to those of us that desire it!

It's great to hear that the end of this long and winding road is finally in sight! Can't wait to start seeing Marteau back on the shelves again.

Congratulations!
