Absinthe Marteau and Gnostalgic Distillery

Recommended Posts

 That's awesome G, I hope things continue to progress on pace for you, and your commitment to a grape based absinthe is awesome! I look forward to visiting when it's up and running. However, I'm gonna be a poor student for the next year plus so I'll be louching my absinthe with tears over any tasty nano-offerings I might miss!

sugar cubes made specifically for absinthe

Any chance that sugar will be organic? I think mom may prefer a little sugar.

It will be awesome to have Marteau back on the menu!

Great to have your son joining you, I'm sure.

P.S. That pic of your son reminds me of mine.

The bottle I bought is dated 2008. Have there been more recent batches?

The store had three more bottles. I might have to go snag them with my next pay check!

None that made it to market. The 2009 batch popped the thujone meter at the TTB and the distillery lost its lease before we could fix it and get approval on the new batch. That means that all Marteau currently in the market is over two years old.

I believe my brother is holding on to the better part of some of the first round of Marteau. Perhaps its about time I paid him a visit.

It's still drinkable with a popped thujone meter, isn't it? Is it possible to sell it in the European market?

I'm still trying to get a handle on these rules.

Chances of buying the 2008 are slim to none. Chances of finding the 2011 are much better.
