Today (Monday the 15th) is the last day for mp3 submissions for the compilation. If you have something you want to submit I need it today so that I can start figuring out track order and whatnot.

I'm going to give everyone who has submitted material one week to get their .wav files to me. Monday, November 22 is the deadline for that. I can't put mp3s on the actual CD so this is very, very important.

I have .wav or .aiff submissions from:
sbmac
precenphix
Timothy B.
kibbles
ubu
Trauma Hound
myself

I have only mp3 submissions from:
Babble
Sonny Meadows
Green Baron

precenphix wants to adjust the EQ for two of his tracks and send them back in, and that's fine.

I intend to have this thing on sale as of December 1st so that everyone will be able to have copies in their hands before the holidays. After the 22nd I'll have 9 days to finish the artwork and master the CD.

(Edited the list.)

I will get my .wav file to you this week. My computer just recently crashed but I have the file backed up somewhere.

Once again I've got a killer headache. Messing with audio at high volume was a bad idea last time around, so I think I'll attack those tracks tomorrow. I might only need to redo one of them, actually. Too much peak limiting really gutted things.

I'm looking forward to the CD. Put me down for 10 of them as a start. :wave2:

Being musically challenged, I don't play an instrument. I can give them as gifts and keep a couple here for backup. My kids enjoyed the first one so this will be a nice thing for them.

Sounds like it'll be a terrific mix.

I'm having trouble sending files larger than 10MB through hotmail. I can send them to you through the mail or if you have any other ideas let me know. I could send them as Mp3 and you could convert them, maybe? In Downtown Kashmir. PM me.

I remember the discussion after volume one came out, how excited we all were at the project's success, and I am so looking forward to picking up a few of this one. Thanks so much to everyone for your hard work.

You're not kidding. I'm not sure how rare nice guys truly are, but OMG_Bill is truly one-of-a-kind, that's for sure. And if you ever meet him in person, you'll find there's absolutely no separating the way he conducts himself on this forum and the way he is in the real, waking world -- a true gentleman.

By the way, the newly EQ'd files have just been freshly uploaded. But shhhhh...don't tell anyone. It's a secret. :secret2:

So it's just Green Baron and djwakka left.

Okay the deadline is past.

The sad thing is that djwakka actually tried sending me .wav files on the submission deadline last week but there were issues, and apparently did not get my messages.

The good thing is that everyone else who sent a submission got me their wav files, so we have a total of seventeen tracks by ten forum members. This beats last year's eleven tracks by six members. The crazy thing about this is that there were only four submissions as of two weeks before the deadline. It really came together at the last minute.o

Now I have to normalize the volume on everything and do some subtle EQing to get them all inhabiting the same universe and finish the artwork.

Post your info for the credits in this thread. I'm going to devote the insert to credits so I should be able to get everything that people want in it. Keep in mind though that it's only one side of the insert, about a 4 x 4 inches space, so let's not make them needlessly complex.

No, there won't be enough room for anything like that. Just what specific artist name you're using and any copyright information that you want printed, and a reference to an album that it comes from if applicable.

For anything that I don't have specific copyright info, there will be a broad statement to the effect of, "All recordings and compositions remain property of their respective authors; used by permission."

That sounds like every theatre production I've ever done.

If either of my songs are used, all I need is for the artist name to be Plasticstatic.

Here's the tracklist. It leaves about 3 seconds to spare on the CD. :)

01 - SB MacDonald - Remembrances
02 - Peridot Elixir - Drop by Drop
03 - Green Baron - Quixotesque
04 - Plasticstatic - Slow Drip Gaze
05 - precenphix feat. Ed Kamenitser - Indigo
06 - Sonny Meadows - Angel from the Dark Side of Heaven
07 - Timothy Byrd - Going Back (for Renata)
08 - Amberson Hall - know you
09 - Throng of Shoggoths - Anathema
10 - Rory Murphy - The Psilocybin Devil
11 - Sonny Meadows - To See You Again
12 - precenphix - The Wick
13 - Cyber.Heist - Grey it Down
14 - Plasticstatic - Turning Like the Leaves
15 - Sonny Meadows - I Shoulda Been a Waiter
16 - precenphix - Lights
17 - Throng of Shoggoths - Fathomless Sorrow

The Throng of Shoggoth songs feel so woefully out of place, but whatever. :) Other than that I think there's a pretty good flow. I'm about one third of the way through mastering/ normalizing everything.

Please check the list and tell me if I have anything wrong. I'm going to be finishing the artwork this weekend.

Thanks for all your work on this Peridot. Seeing the track listing is really exciting!

I'd like to thank Joe for providing me with a name for my song. I don't know whether or not you invented it Joe- either way, it's an outstanding word!

Looks like a tight listing. The only credits you need on my tracks is "written and produced by ben rabenold" with the exception of Indigo which needs the credit "guitar: Ed Kamanitser". That's all from me.
