I want to introduce myself to this absinthe community with a offering of these fine absinthe's for sale! All the Jade's are the new 700ml versions from Sep 09' and I'm selling a newer Roquette as well (they are all still wax sealed and in perfect condition other then a little chipped wax coming of an NO bottle).

I have 2 of each version of Jades (NO, 1901, Eddy, VS) that I will sell for $80 + $10 shipping and the Roquette for $65 + 10 shipping. I operate in the Chicago area and will be shipping from here. I sell absintheware on many sites such as Ebay (500+ positive feedback, 0 bad feedback!), Amazon, etc.. and am currently building a website called AbsintheSpirit.com that will sell all things absinthe!

If anyone is interested in buying any of these Jades, please send me a PM an I will set up a safe transaction for both of us!

(I only ship in the US!)

The pictures I will include in this post have bubble wrapping on the Jade bottles taped up (I don't feel like re-taping them!) and they are ready for shipping!

No offense, but it's not normally good manners (or business practice) to have an absinthe sale be your first post.

It's not that we aren't interested, it's that we don't know you from a hole in the wall.

So head on over to the newcomer's area and let us get to know you.

Did I see a bottle marijuana vodka in the background of the first pic? ;)

Hello there Brian! No problem, I understand. I will introduce myself in the newcomer's area as soon as I come back from a trip to my local Chipotle! :wave2:

1 Eddy and the Roquette are sold!

Just to clarify, Even though I'm a business man, I'm not selling these to make a profit. I make money in many ways and I don't need to sell these, I just don't have any use for them with my current collection. Think of me as a philanthropist that gets paid!

Just for future reference, Paul, let this be your last sale here for a while; these quantities are a bit beyond what I'm comfortable with. Technically, any quantity is illegal, but this edges awfully close to illicit importation/resale.

Hi Gwydion! I assure you that these bottles were not meant for resale and that I don't intend to make any profit whatsoever from them, I just don't need them in my collection, but don't want to lose money by giving them away so I'm offering this sale. I saw a post on here before about someone selling a couple bottles out of his collection and thought that it shouldn't be a problem. This is just a one time deal, I won't make any more posts like this one!

I appreciate it. It's not just a matter of profit, it's a matter of selling liquor without a license. We do try to stay within the law here. Our registered members who work for the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau appreciate it too.

That account belongs to my brother Pete. I bought those kits in bulk (12 kits I think) a long time ago before I knew what absinthe really was and how it was made. He wanted to make some extra cash so he sold the last of them (9 kits) in a bulk package. Those kits were laying in storage for who knows how long so I let him have them. I've only sold one of those kits myself about 7 months ago and tried one and it was very very bitter.

Fair enough. In my very early days, I did some incredibly stupid shit (anyone else put A.a. in Pernod pastis and try to drink it? ). Please understand, we are very dedicated suporters of absinthe. Also know, we hope you are a Brother in Arms.

I never did that, and I never blew up the chemistry lab...but there's still time for one of those.

I'm merely an enthusiast/end consumer.

That said, deception is not well tolerated.

I never blew up the lab or put A.a. in Pernod. I'm painfully cautious. I don't drink in public or in bars. I'd like to have what you're selling but you're not on my approved vendors list. I'm not good at sports.....checkers is a sport...isn't it? The last game I won was "tag" while I was in second grade....I was 11. Slow learner I guess. My socks rarely match and I don't care. I drink alone.....no fighting that way. Besides, I hit like a gurl and cry just as easy.

Ok, the top two lines are the closest to true.

Yes, I prefer my steak rare to medium rare and don't put one of those plastic things in it so everybody knows how it's cooked.

I don't know a metaphor from a twobyfour but I do believe in gravity and like to listen to people's opinion of it especially as they have more birthdays. It's the simple things that make me happy. *smile*

Tell me about it. Just had knock on the door with a package from across the pond and I now find myself in the possession 35 different absinthes and only half are opened.

Oooops, we did have a bad discussion about gravity as merely a notion or religion or something.

I was referring to it along the lines of getting more seasoned versus gettin' old as Mr. Coarse put it.

Too much of a temptation for a bloke like me. You've got the temperance of a saint. Wait.. can I say temperance in here?
