I really like these things for lighting my gars.
I also seem to have a pile of them that just didn't want to
light right anymore. My favorite one decided not to work today
and it pissed me off. Looking inside the jet holes it seemed
to be full of built up carbon. Looking through my collection of cleaners
I picked up a can of carb & choke cleaner and gave it a shot. Using a little
compress air and then just a little dry time it worked like a champ. I was able
to get 6 more of them working like new. Just a little fyi if there are any torch users out there.
It really really works..
On a safety note, don't try to light it if it's dripping in carb cleaner...
That might be bad... B)

This reminds me of when I bought a nice Prometheus for $100. It worked for 30 days. Now, I don't spend more than $15 for one since they last longer and I don't mind if they break.

My favorite is still good ole' wooden cigar matches - the 3" ones.

I never found, but always wanted, cedar cigar matches. I'm guessing there's something toxic about that idea?
I would love to ride in the Popemobile. Riding behind that protective glass, making obscene, taunting gestures at my friends while they fired bullets at me, would be the spiritual highlight of my life.

Small torches used for creme brulee are sold at various cooking supply stores, and they work perfectly.
