If you're a fan of Vin or "Riddick" you'll most likely really enjoy it. He finally managed to secure the rights to the character and can now make the films as they were meant to be made.  (i.e. not pg)

Like Mad Max: Road Fury and others of the over-the-top style, it's a good time.

Just once?

Eh, better than nothing.

I was thinking only of the movie posters - those things can appreciate in value.  We wouldn't want to ruin them.

True that. Some movie posters are pretty cool.

How's about we use only posters that have tom cruise on them? Fairly sure that eliminates the "increasing in value" issue.

I once had a friend suggest using dried corn stalks with as much crusty, left-over debris still stuck on them as I could find. A notion I liked not only for being somewhat environmentally conscious but slightly sadistic as well. Recycling at its best.

Good call on the corn stalks - this Nebraska native approves

It's a good 20 degrees cooler today than the unseasonable heat that hit the valley yesterday, so I'm going to celebrate with the cheesefest known as Tekwar and a glass Pacifique.

Must have a 'moose and squirrel' fix. So I'll have it with a jar of hard tea.

It's feeling like a good evening to slide into "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead" and a glass or two of verte.

Both of those sound like great options, but I'm thinking some Mitchell and Webb Look on my end.

Just water tonight (sorry friends) while binge watching The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin. Quirky Brit comedy series starring Leonard Rossiter. It takes a few episodes to get into, but from there forward Rossiter carries the day.

Started to view "true detective" last evening. 1st season. I think I will watch through the whole series.
Had some lancienne 2012 with it. Very tasty.

I heard the 1st season of True Detective was very good - supposedly lots of influence drawn from Robert W. Chambers' The King in Yellow (one of the great works of weird fiction).  I keep thinking it's time to actually watch it, but haven't gotten around to it yet.  You'll have to let us know what you think.

Finished true detective season 1. Quite good. Really liked how it all wrapped up.
So onto season 2. I have my doubts as to how close of a candle it will hold to season 1 though.

Mr & Mrs Murder. An Australian mystery series about man-and-wife toxic cleaners who clean up crime scenes and solve crimes. Light-hearted, fanciful, and humerous. Pair this with BdJ and all is well with the world - well for about an hour or two before the reality of it all seeps back in.

Picked up Season 1 last Friday and binge-watched it on Monday.  Truly excellent - I just wish there had been more than 8 episodes.

I agree.
Season 2 was good too so give it a try. It took till the third episode for me to say I liked it though.

You know, we see it in the foreign foods section all the time next to the PG Tips but have never gotten around to trying it.
