Of course.

The remake was unendurable.

Or so I've heard. B)

Yes, I'm Krinkles the Clown on an absinthe a beer bender.

You got a problem with that?

Yeah it was pretty bad. I couldn't make it through five minutes before changing the channel. I'm pretty weary of remakes. Especially when the original isn't that old. If it ain't broke.

I like Chris Hemsworth but I found the remake personally insulting. I saw the original in my early teens, when (like now) there were a lot YA books out about dystopian worlds and kids fighting governments via guerilla warfare. I still remember how I felt when I watched the ending. I cried. A lot. I think I'll go rewatch it now.

Edouard, and Ebenezer.     :euro:    :cheerz:  And probably visiting a couple more "spirits" before the night's over.

and the sad silent song made the hour twice as long,

Scrooge with Alister Sim - my favorite iteration; with BDJ and a Maison Surrenne cognac chaser. Nighty night.

If we make it, we can sit back and relax...

Ringing in the new year with my sweetie and her world famous bacon and cream cheese stuffed mushrooms, with L'Entete, Jade No, and 1901, watching The Dark Crystal.

Capt. Malcolm Reynolds:

Y'all got on this boat for different reasons, but y'all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything, I know this - they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, ten? They'll swing back to the belief that they can make people... better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave.

Jayne:

Stand Up Guys and couple of glasses of House Swill.  I generally can't stand movies but this worked for me.

Just watched 1and 2 with the Mrs. in the last week after I asked her one evening if she wanted to watch Army of Darkness and she said "what's that?" Couldn't believe she didn't know what I was talking about, and figured we better start at the beginning.

I'm glad to see there are some Evil Dead fans in the house!  My wife hated Evil Dead I, enjoyed Evil Dead II, and loved Army of Darkness.  I'm cautiously optimistic about this mini event series that's coming soon.

Last night was Eyes Wide Shut with some Walton Waters.

I really dug the Evil Dead trilogy, as well.

The alleged Evil Dead remake was a like a really bad joke, however.
