Legendre Herbsaint is back?!

Recommended Posts

Ann might be confused regarding the first label from Dec. 33 when it was called Legendre Absinthe.

About going back to the old formula, imagine that....

Lab sample Louche

The New Herbsaint is a revival of the original formula, No Grande Wormwood, and tastes quite nice.

After I recover from Tales I will have more about this

The New Old Herbsaint is better balanced, and much closer to the vintage.

This is only a lab sample so far, and very limited quantity.

I don't disagree with that sentiment.

It's not fall yet, and I don't think anything is set in stone at this point.

I am glad to see this old name waking up again after a long nap.

Nah. It's good, I like it, and if the release tastes like the sample, I'll drink and recommend it, but it's not absinthe.

The new product is exactly what the old product was: a very nice, tasty and interesting absinthe-like drink that calls itself an absinthe. But as Greenimp says, it's not carved in stone yet. Will they add absinthium? Will they take "absinthe" off the label and marketing? Tune in later to find out.

Petite wormwood in the coloring, then?

Nope:

Gotcha. I just kept hearing it had no Grande wormwood.

Reminds me of when my guitar teacher jokingly asked his new girlfriend if she'd ever been in a porno movie, and she answered "you mean like a real film, shot with a film camera? No, never."

Sazerac is a pretty good company.

They were interested in the feedback at the tasting room.

I do think things will work out well by the time of the release.

No on the anagram, not accurate...the name has another origin I did clean that one up, and a couple of others.

Let's just say I have quite a few written pages of Herbsaint history, beyond what has been posted on the net, this has taken on a life of it's own.

And there is more related to follow.
