Gertz Report post Posted February 10, 2009 Where have you been hiding, Gertz? We had our last bottle of Elderflower Mead a few weeks ago and blamed you for not being around to encourage us to make more. My goodness, can't the kids nowadays not even make some Elderflower Mead on their own without someone to tell them to? Well then, make some more! Because I say so! As for hiding - well, currently I am hiding in a city out there in the real world called Paris. Yes, the one in France. Going to a drawing course.
Joe Legate Report post Posted February 10, 2009 Good for you! I remember seeing some of your work posted before. I have 6 gallons of Raspberry Pyment, 6 gallons of Blackberry pyment and 5 gallons of Chocolate Stout in the bottles so far this year. It's not like I've been sitting on my hands with nothing to do. Along with the real job, you did catch the name of this thread, didn't you? Like my Grannie used to say, "Busy hands are the devil's playground." She was so right. 89five.o Report post Posted February 11, 2009 Wow, congratulations! As mentioned already, if you need another member for a tasting panel I'm sure I can lend my 'I've only had a few absinthes, I'll tell you how it tastes to a college student who was stuck drinking keystone for 4 years' perspective. Good luck with everything!
Joe Legate Report post Posted February 11, 2009 Seriously, if I would have known how to home brew when I was in grad school, I would have drank a lot better and a lot cheaper. I would have been much more popular, too! Easy, fun, (comparatively) cheap and the swill is much better than what the vast majority of grad students are drinking.
