I'm happy to announce that T73, Maggie-Teh-Cat and Shabba have all been promoted to Advisory Board status. This comes after a great deal of hard work and loyalty on their parts. They have all steadfastly maintained—in fact, helped to establish—the high standards that the Wormwood Society is known for. They will also continue to perform their respective functions as moderators and review editor.

Speaking of meritorious service, hard work and loyalty, Ari has accepted a long-overdue invitation to join the Advisory Board. There are not a lot of guys out there who put as much effort and time into absinthe education as Ari does—or who catch as much shit for it; this guy has been a machine from day one. He's done a lot for WS and absinthe in general and his work on the Wikipedia page is (seemingly) tireless. I want to publically acknowledge him for everything he's done.

Here's to you all:

Congrats to all!

I couldn't agree more. Perhaps maybe a Thank you. ;)
Some folks may cringe each time I use the term "Booze" regarding these high quality drinks.
I mean no offense. There are bottles of extraordinary booze out there. I've tasted a few. Relax.

I'm sure I wouldn't enjoy my glasses of absinthe half as much if it weren't for this place, and all you folks do to make it the way it is. Congrats to each and every one of you!

I agree with speedle. To add, Y'all have made lurking here for a while quite educational (in more ways than might be helpful! ;) ). In truth, you guys help make WS the pleasant place it is. Cheers!

Congrats gang! In all their honor, I’d like to have an WSMSM (Wormwood Society Meritorious service medal) struck to be awarded; the lush green ribbon would be adorned with a single brass artemisia branch. And an embossed WS logo to hang from the ribbon. I expect to have them available for presentation by 2010. ;)

Don't listen to those who would water down ahhh burn up the true history of absinthe, rather research the facts to determine the significance of the Green Fairy. Those who can't do it themselves, get their kicks trying to undermine those who can.
