Hello Everyone

Hello Everyone,

Finally got register now that my computer doesn't spam out the Wormwood Society replies to my attempts (while meanwhile the computer faithfully would render up the Nigerian Bank and Viagra Ads).

Been on the sidelines for a good while then met Gwyddion and Lanspaert at Tales back in July and decided to take the plunge (in regards to registering as opposed to some of the other kinds I indulge in.)

I live in Rochester,New York and run a website called Spirits Review ( www.spiritsreview.com ) where I review all manner of (mostly) distilled spirits,books,barware,etc.,.

Long term Absinthe fancier - my father introduced me to it about 35 years ago, put was very hard to get of course till recently. I always had an interest in all manner of spirits and liquors and have now become a writer and judge in/for them. As someone said "Oh, a writer, you mean Unemployment with Honor" I prefer "Gentleman of Leisure" personally.

Cheers,

Dangermonkey

Thanks again everyone for such a warm welcome!

Hope to be writing more soon- trying to catch up on a few projects lately.

BTW does anyone know remember the name of the Absinthe Shop in Antibes (France) that faces onto the local market?

Thanks!

Sorry I was a little slow in coming across this intro. Welcome, Danger! Fantastic to (finally) see you on here. Tell me you've booked for Tales '08 already? I hope to see you and a few choice cigars when I get down there again.

Great site, by the way. Loved reading some of your recent updates.

"Balade en Provence"? Got it on my map:

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&amp...mp;z=2&om=1

(Need to revise it for absinthe-focused stores and bars now that it's spreading like wildfire...:)

Did a search and found it listed with a bunch of other places at LdF:

Yes, Thats it ,Thanks!!

I recognized it from the Sat Photo on goggle.

I went there when he first opened (I was in the neighborhood as it were). He had a mind boogling collection of Absinthe and had just bought a bar in Marsailles he was setting up in the basement (I have pictures somewhere of all this.) He was a wonderful host who kept saying " Oh, you have to try this one now" hope to get back over there and see how his shop is doing now, its been a few years.
