This year's version probably hasn't even been released yet, MPC, so keep the faith!

Yes, I'm Krinkles the Clown on an absinthe a beer bender.

You got a problem with that?

Thanks, Bluesy! I'm gonna make every effort to get me some this go round! I'll make it out your way just to try it if I can't get them to send me some my way..that's a promise and here in writing. I'll stay with Absomphe and cause him more heartburn than what he already gets on a daily basis!

So many great ales here in the Northwest. Pyramid & Redhook breweries have great stuff. Also like Widmer. The Roslyn brewery only has two choices, but they're both wonderful. And for dark my favorites are Maritime Nightwatch and Negra Modelo.

Thanks, MPC, I hear that so delightfully compliments an already spastic colon.

I'll just have to come up with an equally appropriate, and lovely gift for you! :yahoo:

I'm a fan of the Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, TX. They only make a few varieties, but they're all great.

If you ever find it grab a couple extra and I'll swap you for something.

As for Wally land, the Super WalMart (I can see looking out my window at work) here does not even carry beer. Best I've seen at the one in Elizabethton only had MBC  and SNPA.

I've got my aunt (who lives in Rehoboth) on the lookout for it when it shows up at the brewery. Gonna try to pick up a case or two, if they'll let me.

You are truly blessed to live near a Wally World that actually stocks good ale.

No such animal in East Bumfuck, that's for sure!

One of the Wally World stores near me sells no alcohol. The other sells a handfull of crappy 3.2% beer.

They really only carry the usual crap... Miller, Bud, Coors etc.
Great Lakes Christmas Ale is a really big deal around here though. When it first came out, it was only in 4-packs and they would run out before October was even over. They finally switched to 6-packs and every store stocks as much as they can hold. The Wal-Mart had a whole endcap piled high and I bet they've already cleared that all out.

I picked up my perennial favorite 'session' on the way back from the Smokies this weekend.

Amber, you're missing out on a huge, wonderful world of flavour.

So am I... I need to mailorder some beer because I'm not getting a whole lot of good brands around here. Some new ones showed up but I've already gotten them all.
