Artemis Report post Posted February 5, 2005 I'm a newbie and I came here to get away from the mosh pits that so many absinthe forums have become. I understand that no trolling is allowed and I promise to behave.

gdgrlsdobdthngs Report post Posted February 6, 2005 Hi! Let me just begin by saying that this forum has been great wealth of information. At first I was merely a bit intrigued by absinthe, but now I am hooked! Newbie...not for long.
Artemis Report post Posted February 6, 2005 There's nothing better than being welcome. Thanks to all. Can I be a Ted groupie?
Gwydion Stone Report post Posted February 6, 2005 Somehow, I don't think it's in your nature, Artemis. Dunno, just a hunch. gdgrlsdobdthngs, why don't you go ahead and start a thread of your own and tell us a little about yourself? (it's customary)

Ari (Eric Litton) Report post Posted February 6, 2005 Damn newbies, going to ruin the forum. :D Dr O told me all y'all worship the water that Ted walks on, I don't know why everyone here isn't a Ted groupie (does that mean Ted uses you for casual sex?) Artemis Report post Posted February 6, 2005 Dr. O responded to my offer to post for him at Fee Verte, but offered no posts. It's presumptuous of me to think people here would know who I am, so I'll say a little more: I'm a Cajun from Louisiana, I'm not young, but I am pretty, and I write stuff about absinthe, mostly for the Internet. Mostly I hang out at Fee Verte because I like it there.

Absomphe Report post Posted February 6, 2005 Can I be a Ted groupie? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> At your own risk, I suppose. In my old sig at the mosh pit, I proclaimed myself a Ted fan... Some wiseacre altered it to Ted Bundy fan.
Absomphe Report post Posted February 6, 2005 Oh, and greetings, Gdgrlsdobdthngs. Are you Welsh, by any chance? :D

"A Myth Always Green" Everybody who drinks absinthe should own a copy of that book. Welcome Artemis.

Gwydion Stone Report post Posted February 8, 2005 You'll find that Artemis is responsible for most of the English translations from the French distillation manuals posted at oxygenee.com as well as the English translation of Absinthe: A Myth Always Green. Absomphe Report post Posted February 8, 2005 Welcome to the Society, Artemis. Good to see you're not afraid of a long stroll outside of the retirement home/Fe Verte. :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This from a guy who tends to choose monkey skulls as his avatars. Artemis Report post Posted February 9, 2005 (edited) What Hiram said, and quite a bit more that I either wrote or influenced in some way. It's not exactly a paying job ...... Get A Myth Always Green, I didn't write it, but I did a lot of work on the English version. If you search the archives at Fee Verte, you'll find about 30,000 posts by me.
