Good stuff

We tend to highlight the negative press. This is for more positive stuff.

This spoof article in today's UK Telegraph takes us to a time when absinthe is seen as as a perfectly safe, environmentally friendly alcoholic beverage for the young (and young at heart!). Click above for the whole article or read the absinthe entry here:-

"Absinthe: alcoholic liqueur distilled from wormwood. Following the successful launch of absinthe as a perfectly safe, environmentally friendly alcoholic beverage for the young (and young at heart!) a couple of years back, we at Eth!cal PR have agreed to take on the account for the relaunch of methylated spirits as a luxury lifestyle cocktail aimed at the A-list consumer market of the young and aspirational.

For too long, the whole methylated-spirits image has been tarnished by its out-of-date association with alcohol abuse. We intend to change all this, rebranding it as a great, easy-going, work-hard/play-hard drink to help affluent young professionals relax and have fun. And, yes, it's ethical, too - each designer bottle is going to carry the clear, attractive message: "No animals were murdered in the making of this product and not a single rainforest was destroyed: Meths Means a Greener World".

For the product launch, Meths (we've dropped the "methylated" for something much more sassy, much more tomorrow) will come in three exciting flavours - Lemon/Lime Meths, Cherry Meths and Butterscotch Meths. If those initial flavours take off, then the sky's the limit, and we'll be introducing Tang of Orange Meths, Rosemary and Saffron Meths and - for the sports-lover - Absinthe-and-Vodka Meths. And the slogan we've dreamt up? "Mmm… Meths!" "

OK, it's a spoof, but it does indicate that at least in the UK, absinthe is becoming a bit more mainstream. Given that the UK subsidiary of Wal-Mart sells it, that's not surprising.

How about cherry absinthe, peach absinthe (from our own organically grown farms where every laborer gets a proper wage and gets a BMW) or the very popular Coconut-Lime absinthe. Dakini brand! Your assurance of quality and kindness. We raised these peaches with love. Now carried at Wal-Marts across the country... It's a premium brand, because our owner says so. :D

And don't forget our new caramel-flavored absinthe - Tastes Burnt™ - with real Burnt Sugar Molecules.

I'm working on a Mandrake root, coca/tobacco Leaf, banana peel blend in a really kool bottle.

The Test Animals seem to love it after a couple of bottles
