Hey, Oz:

Recommended Posts

You know what I miss?

I miss the times when you used to not have to squander your wit and free time

sorting through junk just to move a pile of it from here to there

and fiddling with whatever dials and knobs you've got behind that curtain.

I'm not complaining.

It's your city.

I'm just wistful for the good ol' days

when you were an upstart

and had the leisure to misappropriate a few hours

kickin' back a cool, cloudy one with the witches.

You know what I miss? As odd as it might seem, those damned flying monkeys! After the Witch of the West (or was it the East? I never could keep them straight!) melted, they all started working for parcel delivery services.

Thanks for the kind words Peeps. I miss it too, but that was because during the last year I was blissfully unemployed and had a lot of free time. Alas, my new (April) day job is without an internet connection for security reasons (bio-tech company). I get about 30 minutes at home in the morning and a couple hours in the evening if I'm lucky. I haven't spent quality time with my honey in ages.

Maybe that's among the reasons I want it to be nice when I do get a chance to get in here instead of wondering what fresh hell has been cooked up for me.

I hope I haven't missed something serious, but:

We'd never cook up Fresh Hell, it's so costly, you have to pay an arm and a leg, or worse. We'd would cook Frozen Hell, but, it's so hard to find.

Dang, you are efficient, esse!

The whole fleet of lackeys I occupy doesn't do as much tidying up,

despite many hours spent lollygagging, collectively.

Often, I've noticed, when folks are scarcer,

it's a sign of things getting really good where it matters most.

I hope that's the case and that you're getting close

to making up some of that lost honey-time.

That's the bit I always look forward to! And after it's finished I spend a good 10 minutes singing it over and over again, trying desperately to get the vibratto on Foresssssssst just right. I am almost there.

Much to the consternation of my wife!

But I don't understand. Why is everybody missing OZ .............they show it all the time on cable T.V

The Emerald City isn't what it used to be. Today it's like Branson MO, but without Branson's sophistication. The Yellow Brick Road is lined with a hellish assortment of strip malls. And Munchkin Land is no where any sane person would want to be since inbreeding has been allowed to run rampant there.
