  8. From our friends at Liqueurs de France “Blanche Traditionelle "Brut d'alambic" 'Essai 2' It has also been bottled without any water reduction as a full 81.3% alcohol distillate, though we have had several requests to reduce it to 60% before bottling.” So my question, oh Wise Ones, is - Does H20 not have the same loucheing effect at this point as in my glass? How is water added without releasing all the yummy oils?? Or Is this one of those thing “where I’d have to be killed if you told me” like Pepsi, NyQuil, and Col. Chicken’s 11 herbs & Spices?? laf

  11. Hey Chris, Absinthe-Distribution is my favorite source - I just went over to the site and I see what you mean. Not being able to sellect "Courier" might be a bug. and Looks like the Terms & Conditions have changed: Seizure We are not responsible for seizures, or additional taxes etc. Seized goods are not refunded. It seems the shipping is just as high as ever. I recently ordered from Absinthe-Distribution and I seem to recall a "we send it until you get it" clause. Though Markus's selection and service is among the best I have ever experienced anywhere, with this change in policy, I would be inclined to place much smaller orders. As a consumer, I'd hate to lose my $300 order - it can't be to much different for a vendor. Thank you for your post laf

  16. You might also balance that razor’s edge between thrifty and cheap I do. I desire the proper glasses and an elegant fountain. At the same time unique items have their place as well. Having a good Thrift Store route pays off as far as obtaining a stock of great, though mismatched, glasses and goblets. A sharp eye uncovers uncommon crystal or a samovar (do a search on eBay) that makes an inexpensive single fountain – sometimes just the tap is worth the price of the entire item. These treasure hunts can serve many purposes. Saving money, shiny artifacts and (to me, equally critical) saving a treasure from being destroyed. As an example: I purchased around 10 pieces (under $30) this week here are the best two. Hummm - attachments are not working for me right now and the ice is melting. I'll try later.
