  1. Should I put my bottle in the fridge ? I keep mine at room temp.
  2. It is a drip at a time. I will try that. Anyway I feel kind of sloshed.
  3. Anyone not get thier absinthe to louche? The one I am drinking now did not louche This happened only twice . I am using Taboo.
  4. Did purchase it. Second glass much more tasty than first . Already getting a buzz
  5. $83.75 according to the SAQ site. Marginally more than the Taboo on a $/ml basis (Taboo is 500 ml). But generally you are right about drinks in Canada being quite expensive. However the Canadian Liquor Boards do raise a lot of tax and profit revenue, which probably all goes to a good cause. I didn't make it to L'Absinthe. However I also recommend the Dieu du Ciel micro-brewery. I didn't know they have absinth. That is one my favorite bars. Interested in playing the exquisite corpse ?
  6. The last one is normally called La Clandestine (Artemisia is the company name). I'd recommend you try to meet up with some of the other Montreal absinthe lovers here who will have a good idea of what to get, and where to get it. I've met Babble, Pastaga and Hugue, as well as Ken from Quebec City. Le Lab bar is a good place to try a glass of any of the Quebec-available brands before committing to a bottle. I go to L'Absinth on St Denis. They offer absinth from 7.50 -30.0/shot. I tried the 7.50 shot which got me plastered after one drink and the 14.00 one which didn't. It was Mythe Absinthe. It almost tasted like mouth wash I have been trying to revive the old surrealist game of the Exquisite Corpse. So far not much luck

My next bottle will probably be La clandestine. I like the reviews. It is expensive here. $89-95 a bottle !
  8. Which Taboo ? There are different bottles . I have Original. There is Gold Taboo which I can't locate in the SAQ
  9. I am following the advice of people here on what absinth to get I am particular impressed with Opus X ,but they are far over priced. I also like Aurturo Fuente Hemmingway shorts or others of a similar ilk.
  10. I will get a bottle of Pacific this Xmass/new years or for my 50th b-day. Well that will be a special day. Several people were telling me to get Taboo for first offering. Good first purchase.
  11. Well here is a pic of the drink louched. It far tastes better than Absinthe Mythe ,which I like. It took a while to louche. Having trouble tasting fruitiness of it, but can smell it. How does PAcific's Distillery's Absinthe taste in comparison ?
  12. I popped the bottle. Love the scent of this absinthe, can't wait to drink it !
  13. I have smoked tons of cigars since 35 My favorite are Cubans.
