  1. That would seem logical. The commercial industry could learn a thing or two from DYIers, which I'm sure it has in the case of beer.
  2. Good question. They are stunning Hiram. Do you have any idea when they might become available?
  3. I'm surprised to see the Montmartre ranked so low.
  4. Methinks it's bloody red. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A bloody good guess. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But it does louche into a most appealing color.
  5. [ Plus politicians LOVE to look like they're on the side of the little guy and small business, as it gets them votes ] So might fighting against the legalization of something with such a reputation.
  6. It's people! Soylent Greensinthe is People!
  7. My guess is that temperature fluctuations caused by adding ice water will cause the crack to get larger. Your fountain might be doomed.
  8. I would be interested to know that the base is for the Ike.
  9. Welcome! What absinthes have you tried? Are there any you have tried that you like in particular? More importantly, do you also wear corsets? I'm Kidding. Sort of.
  10. The absinthe must flow! On another note, I like a little sugar in my drink but come on. ????? The aggrivating thing about these auctions is that the seller knows enough about absinthe to buy decent stuff (their photos often feature Jade or Un Emile), but they present it in ways that boggle the mind.
  11. Thanks for the welcome folks! Sounds like you should feel quite comfortable in this milieu.Well come! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I will try to post links to some of my (our) work sometime in the near future, some of you might find it interesting.
  12. Greetings fellow booze enthusiasts! I've been a chronic lurker here and figured it's high time I said hello. My name is Brad, I'm 30 years old and live in Minneapolis, MN. I think that I have been drinking absinthe for about four years or so now, but it's oh so hard to remember. I am an associate architect by trade, specifically working in historic restorations and preservation. When I'm not working or drinking I enjoy a good day of fishing (it IS Minnesota after all), snowboarding, or biking. I might also have a bit of sci-fi geek in me, but I have a feeling that it is not to the extent that some here do (did someone mention a Doctor Who tattoo?). Anyway, I have extensive experience drinking CO and a little with HG, and I hope that I can contribute to the discussions here from time to time. I do, however, tend to be the quiet type and might do more reading than posting. Cheers!
  13. Wine label collecting Scroll down a bit...
  14. Sorry to post before introducing myself but; I've had a couple of bottles of this stuff and I doubt anyone will be disappointed in it. So far, I like it better than the other Jades.
  15. I saw one at the Vert d'Absinthe shop.
