  1. Greetings and salutations! I've mentioned this other places, but Leopold Bros. was my first delve into the world that is absinthe and I greatly enjoyed it. Pacifique is actually one of the "nexts" on my list. Congratulations on the new job by the by!
  2. My guess would be short since it seems as though all those girls own one of these
  3. Hmmm... must be my husband and I's problem as well.... Though I will have to admit, once the baby came along the duration of lustful eye staring has decreased dramatically *sighs* Ah well, only eighteen years or so before we get our us time back right? Though somehow I think we still won't have many guests either way. C'est la vie.
  4. Ewwwww..... But then again, desperation is being caught in mid-morning traffic on the way to work after a pot of coffee and a bran muffin! I never jest! And don't call me Surely. (ah my inner nerd comes out to play once more)
  5. Welcome to the forum Boris. I'm so sorry to hear about your near traumatizing experience, thank goodness you caught her before she could ruin a good drink! I always love it when people who don't have a clue act like they're the most intelligent person on the planet *sighs* Anyhow, if you're still thinking about trying the Leopold, I definitely recommend it. Especially for sipping in the comfortable confines of one's own home. It is so far, my husband and I's first and only dalliance into the world of absinthe, but it made such a good impression that we'll be finding ourselves dallying with the green faerie as often as possible.
  6. *Does best HAL impersonation* Good evening, Dave! (I know, I'm a nerd, and I've never even seen 2001 space odyssey)
  7. Just to add my two cents worth into this discussion, I think it's absolutely preposterous for the VdT to try and put a ban on the use of French phrases!!! Needless to say I don't think my husband and myself shall ever be spending money on absinthes made by these particular producers. Especially considering there are plenty of superb offerings made by distillers outside this region that we would happily buy, even if they had to be labeled "wormwood cordials" for legal purposes . I only wish we had the extra cash on hand to put towards the legal fund, even though the deadline is looming. I'll be most interested to find out the outcome of this situation. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.
  8. Ah no, the day we see bed bath and beyond selling absinthe glasses and broulliers then we've hit the big time! Unfortunately I had to resort to buying an olive oil dispenser from them to pour water over my sugar, that was set on the $6 spoon I got from the liquor store to place over my wine glass. I'll be so glad when my husband and I can afford to get a nice fountain set.
  9. I'll keep that in mind, again thanks for the quick response! Yay, now I'll have something to do once I come home from work!
  10. Me too, every chance I get. Alcohol is one of my favorite pastimes, aside from food, but that works out well since the two go so beautifully together.
  11. Goodness that's quite the list of samples! Should make for quite the tasting party.
  12. I've been having log in difficulties as well. I'm not entirely sure what happened, I registered on the main site a couple days ago, I received my authentication email and clicked the link, but now every time I try to log in it tells me I'm using the wrong user name and/or password. I've double checked my original authentication email and have even gone so far as to request a new password, but still nothing is working. I'd very much like to add a review for the Leopold Bros. Is there anything else I should be doing that perhaps I haven't?
